Life Plus 2000

KNOWLEDGE IS POWER

With LIFEPLUS® 2000 charger series, your batteries work harder and last longer. Your energy costs are lower and your maintenance time and expenses are cut significantly. You are able to make management decisions related to work output and replacement schedules base on detailed, precise battery information. Ask your HAWKER POWERSOURCE Sales Representative to conduct a LIFEPLUS® 2000 Investment Analysis for your company so you can see what a difference the LIFEPLUS® 2000 charger series can make in your bottom line.

bullet

MICROPROCESSOR CONTROLLED
Provides a precise charge process to all
battery types.  Means all LIFEPLUS® 2000
charger units operate identically following
their software instructions.  Charge quality is
not subject to component variation.

bulletHIGH-FREQUENCY POWER CONVERSION
Provides the ultimate in power efficiency
while reducing the weight and size.

bulletPROFILE CHARGING
Each battery charged is diagnosed for the
exact charging profile for that battery's condition.

bulletMULTI-CELL CHARGING
Each model automatically charges up to three
popular battery voltage ratings.

bulletMULTI-AMP HOUR RATINGS
Charging current and other key conditions
automatically adjust to a wide range of battery
capacities.

bulletAUTOMATIC EQUALIZATION
Equalization requirements are automatically
provided during every charge, eliminating
weekly manual settings.

bulletFULLY AUTOMATIC OPERATION
Charging start and stops automatically
- no controls to set.

bulletVARIABLE OUTPUT LEAD LENGTH
Programmable output lead lengths to 65 feet
(longer lead lengths optional).

bulletVARIABLE END VOLTAGE CHARGING
End charge voltage automatically adjusts
for battery type and condition.

bulletBATTERY CONDITION MONITORING
Identifies battery conditions requiring
maintenance or inspection. Provides
information on general battery condition.

bulletSILENT OPERATION
LIFEPLUS® 2000 chargers operates with very little
audible noise; compared to the competition.

bulletDELAYED START
Included in the standard program with every
LIFEPLUS® 2000 charger, the delayed start allows
charging during off peak hours, which reduces the
cost of power.   Currently we offer three options,
the Remote Display Panel, the Water System Interface
and the Battery Status Indicator.
bullet

WRONG BATTERY PROTECTION
No damage occurs to the battery when an
incorrect battery is connected to a
LIFEPLUS® 2000 charger.

bulletDYNAMIC CONDITIONS DISPLAY
Reports accumulated ampere hours of charge
to end of charge.  Indicates % charge and fault

conditions.
bulletMAINTAINS BATTERY CAPACITY
Because LIFEPLUS® 2000 chargers use "electromix"
pulses to stir the electrolyte at the end of charge, less
damaging heat is created and battery capacity
is maintained.

bulletHIGHEST EFFICIENCY
Higher efficiency and higher power factor reduces
the energy consumption, providing energy savings
of 20% or more.

bulletLONGEST BATTERY LIFE
Your batteries last longer because they are
diagnosed at the beginning of every charge to
determine their condition and state of charge,
eliminating excessive overcharging and the
resulting grid corrosion.

bulletCHARGING ROOM FLEXIBILITY
Because each model charges a broad range
of battery sizes, chargers can be fully utilized,
often reducing the total numbers of chargers
required.  In addition, LIFEPLUS® 2000 chargers
automatically charge a full range of battery types.

bulletEASIER INSTALLATION
LIFEPLUS® 2000 chargers are approximately
1/3 the size and weight of comparable capacity
units, so installation is easier and less expensive.
The cost of electrical installation is also lower.

bulletLESS BATTERY MAINTENANCE
Because LIFEPLUS® 2000 chargers use "electromix"
to stir electrolyte, at least 25% less watering
is required.  The incidence of early cell failure
due to over or undercharging is reduced, and
you receive cell maintenance information before
a defective cell causes extensive damage.

bulletFEWER TRUCK PROBLEMS
Because your batteries are fully charged, low voltage
operation of the truck is reduced, and truck operators
are warned of over-discharged batteries at the
beginning of each charge.

bulletFEWER OPERATOR ERRORS
Truck operators do not have to set controls for charging
or equalization, eliminating the damage that normally
results from reverse or incorrect battery connection.

bulletPERFORMANCE HISTORY OF BATTERIES
You are able to manually record the display data
or use the optional microcomputer interface to
automatically gather this data.
